Greetings!
Happy Thanksgiving! Support Small Business Saturday and the Big Cats!
All the 2- and 4-legged friends at Turpentine Creek wish you a great and joyous Thanksgiving with family, friends and lots of great food and happiness. If part of your holiday includes getting a jump on Christmas shopping, we ask you to think about the cats.
Everyone knows that November 25th is "Black Friday", but some may not realize that November 26th is 'Small Business Saturday'. This day is dedicated to supporting small businesses all across the country. By showing your support for Turpentine Creek, you are not only helping a small business but you are supporting over 100 big cats and other animals that need your help. We have added many new products to our gift shop including 'fair trade' items that help in sustaining artisans and companies in developing countries as well as merchandise from local and national artists. As always, there is a great variety of plush animals, apparel and other souvenirs that make great gifts for everyone on your list or are a perfect way to treat yourself. We have new merchandise coming in all the time and the refuge is open everyday except Christmas, so while you are out during this holiday season don't forget about shopping to save the cats - Help us, Help Them!
Purchase your 2012 Calendar Today. Don't forget your friends and remember, the calendars make great gifts too!
Buy an animal a new toy for Christmas by going to www.boomerball.com and filling out the ship to portion for TCWR.

Cat of the Week - Bombay
On March 23, 2006, TCWR received a plea for help from Lightning Ranch Wildlife preserve, a sanctuary in Auburn, KS. Their county had passed a ban on exotic animal ownership and the allotted time to relocate their animals was fast approaching. Bombay was being temporarily housed at a defunct breeding farm north of Salina, KS, until TCWR staff members could retrieve him. He was rescued along with another tiger, Styx on March 30, 2006. His birthday is 4/24/1996.

| Bombay enjoys the enrichment his habitat provides. |
