I always seem to get nervous this time of year due to the uncertainty the weather brings upon us. I am requesting that if any of you have an all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive vehicle that you can donate, please do. We need it to be in good condition so repairs or breakdowns are not a problem. Two of the refuge vehicles had mishaps in the past few weeks. All of the refuge vehicles have more than $100,000 miles. Some much more.  Anyway, if you can help out I would personally appreciate your donation.   We get a lot of questions each year from supporters wanting to know how the animals handle the cold weather.  Aside from some of the elderly animals, the leopards, and most of the small African cats who need heat, the majority do just fine in the Arkansas Ozark Mountains. The former owners health was failing and he was forced to move from his home, thus leaving the cats in desparate need of lifelong refuge. Willy and Eva were very healthy but needed to be sedated to load for the trip. They recovered well and have joined the TCWR family. Willy has soon bacame the lead Lion when they are carrolling.   Big Cat Week Starts Sunday On Nat Geo!   Big Cat Week is part of National Geographic's long-term, global conservation and public awareness movement, Big Cats Initiative. The purpose of the programming is to educate the public on the dangers big cats are facing in years to come.  And of course, don't forget to tune into Big Cat Week on Nat Geo WILD starting this Sunday at 8P ET/PT!
