Where's the beef? (Chicken too?)
Greetings!
Turpentine Creek houses almost 150 big cats, bears, and other orphaned animals. During the colder months the amount of food these fantastic creatures consume goes up another 30-50%. This keeps our staff busy preparing and distributing daily meals for all the animals. We have developed programs for our supporters to donate on a recurring basis to help cover the expense of acquiring and transporting enormous amounts of meat each year. 60-70% of the meat fed to the animals is donated, paying for the remainder and keeping a one-ton truck on the road along with a box trailer is not cheap. Todays costs are high and seem to keep increasing. As I am writing this note Clif is picking up 14,000 pounds of chicken and will burn $120 fuel to do it. Turpentine Creek currently buys $400 each week in other specialty feed for the animals. Please Help.
Through the recurring giving program Turpentine Creek raises money for the expenses incurred while providing the highest level of care possible for the cats. The program is easy, and simple. Click the "Monthly Giving" button below and choose how much you want to donate each month. This provides our supporters the chance to help on a regular basis while keeping 100% control. Currently we raise about $900 each month through this program and need to bring this up to $5,000 each month. Can you help? "A little help from many supporters adds up".
Recurring Donation
By Sponsoring or Adopting an animal at Turpentine Creek you help us cover some of the expenses incurred by rescuing and caring for the animals, for their entire life. Along with your sponsorship or adoption you get Free Admission to the refuge for an entire year plus an awesome certificate! For more information about this program click the following link:

Cat of the Week - Sadie
Sadie was brought to TCWR on July 10, 2001. Her previous owners had found her in the woods near their home, lingering by her mother who had been shot and killed. Having previously raised a bobcat kitten, they attempted to raise her as well. They soon discovered, however, that little Sadie was wilder than they had anticipated and was a danger to their young child.
Sadie is a petite bobcat with a mind for mischief. She can be very playful and is very affectionate towards certain staff members.
